Detailed Course Information

Pre-Requisites

  • Must have held either a HR or HC Licence for 12 months.

Logbook Format Competency Based Training & Assessments (CBT & A)

  • MC Practical Courses can only be conducted by the Logbook Competency Based Training & Assessment Course. VORT is NOT available for MC Students.
  • The average time taken for a log book course is:-
    • 18 hours HR – MC Licence
    • 12 hours HC – MC Licence
  • However this may vary depending on the ability and aptitude of the student.
  • Must be competent in the following areas:
    • Coupling and Uncoupling
    • Driving a loaded Multi-Combination vehicle through the hills and free-way areas.
    • Sufficient knowledge to achieve competency in a commercial road law exam.
    • Turning
    • Reversing
    • Manoeuvring a Multi-Combination Vehicle.

How to Book?

  • Please contact Courtesy Driving School on (08) 8345 4911 6.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday and we will arrange dates and times to suit your needs.

Payment Methods

  • When making a booking, we require a deposit of $800 for HC-MC and $1300 for HR-MC to secure the date.
  • Payment is due on the day of the training. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or credit card or an account may be arranged at our discretion.
  • Please note Courtesy Driving School accepts Visa and Mastercard only. There is a 1.5% surcharge on all credit card transactions.

Cancellation Policy

  • Any cancellations or rescheduling must be made within a minimum of 3 business days prior to the course commencement date.
  • If you choose to cancel your course there will be a $150.00 administration fee payable.
  • Any cancellations made within less then 3 business days notice will incur either the loss of the deposit or a $500.00 per day cancellation fee to cover administration costs and instructor's fee; unless a medical certificate or similar is provided.

What to Bring?

  • Current South Australian Drivers licence.
  • A Work Diary is required to be obtained by students conducting training in non metropolitan areas prior to commencement of training.
  • Appropriate footwear must be worn during training e.g. work boots, sandshoes, etc. No open footwear is allowed. High Visibility Shirts or Vests are to be worn at all times. Safety Gloves are optional when conducting vehicle checks, etc.
  • Courtesy Driving School supplies all vehicles.
  • Own vehicle can be supplied. Vehicle must be registered, locally plated (NO Federal Plates), road worthy & insured. Vehicle must be at least 75% loaded with NO Dangerous Goods.
  • The applicant will be required to be present at least 15 minutes before the commencement of each lesson.
